What have you been up to this week? Feel free to link up your photo-related posts from this week below. Have you ever been paddle boating? We can’t wait to go again! Youll get a good leg workout using the paddle boats. I wish I’d known about that before we went! Check their website for more info: / You can enjoy the view of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and Washington Monument on the water. If you reserve paddle boat tickets online, you can reserve a parking spot before you arrive. * There is parking right there, but it tends to fill up. * At least one passenger in each paddle boat needs to be 16 or older. An hour out on the water made all of us thirsty. There is only one adult size and one kid size, and the adult jackets felt small on me.

* Every person is required to wear a life jacket. They work, but could use some improvement as the peddles. You’ll get once-in-a-lifetime shots of the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the Tidal Basin. The guys working the dock are great The paddle boats are definitely older and little wonky. Don’t try to paddle too fast or your legs will get tired. * Current prices are $15 per hour for a 2-person boat, or $24 per hour for a 4-person boat. * Being on the water in front of the monuments provides the most amazing view and photo opportunities. What to know about Tidal Basin paddle boats in Washington DC: While none of the rest of us would have thought to go paddle boating in the Tidal Basin, we were all so glad that we did it!

and was met with unforgettable views of the Jefferson Memorial with a golden hour glow and the Washington Monument surrounded by full cherry blossom trees. When he told us what we’d be doing, we were all shocked. So the settings for this image was F7.1 at 1/200th of a second ISO 160.In an effort to find family fun activities at home (and not just when we’re on vacation) my husband came up with the idea to spend Labor Day in Washington DC (we live in the suburbs). We’ll be staying in Brooklyn this time and Frankie is coming with us too! Family filled fun <3 So if you guys have any New York City recommendations, please let me know. So I want to go to the places that I’ve always wanted to go to visit but we were never able to cram into a weekend getaway. Like art museums or trying to find some amazing views from New York buildings like the top of the Empire State building or top of the One World Trade Center. It’s my job to find the photo opportunities. This time, I’m really looking forward to taking my time in the city but I already know if Andrew’s involved there will definietly be massive amounts of eating amazing food. We’re usually there for a weekend and we’re gone. We’ll be staying for a few days which will be really different for us. He must have realized how fast summer was going too.

In effort to jam in as much as we can these last few weeks of summer, Andrew and I have booked another trip to go to New York City at the end of the month. I hope that doesn’t mean we’re going to have a real cold winter. Although this past month it seems like it’s been raining more than it has been sunny. What about you? What are the things you have to do every summer? My idea of a good time is just being outdoors. What?! Like didn’t it just start last week? I feel like I now have to pack all these summer activities in the next 3 weeks before fall comes. For some reason it has just occurred to me that summer is almost over.
